Ruth`s graduate degree is in Education through Central Michigan University with a special interest in pain management. She went on to do further graduate training at Wilfrid Laurier University in couple and family therapy. She has been registered with the Ontario College of Social Workers and Social Service Workers since 2005 and is affiliated with the Ontario Association of Social Workers.
Ruth has worked for 15 years in the public mental health system helping individuals overcome mental health and addiction problems. Prior to this she worked with couples, families and groups in various capacities but especially with couples in conflict or with families struggling with a family member who is suffering from a mental health or behavioural issue.
Ruth is committed to improving your mental health and the well-being of your relationships and family life by delivering ‘best practice therapy’. She’ll work with you on your specific goals in a customized way. These goals might include improving mood, strengthening a relationship, recovering from a trauma, working through a difficult family or work situation. She wants to exceed those in her field for responsiveness, expertise, experience and level of care while making services affordable and convenient for busy people.
